Big news: I’m living in Italy!
I’ll be here only for a couple of months, but I’m so excited. Seven years ago, after hopping from one place to another, I moved to California. San Francisco is lovely, yet I had been missing the feeling of starting over in a new place.
So far I’ve been sketching a lot, swimming, enjoying the views, trying to conjure up my long-forgotten Italian, and working on new secret projects (can’t wait to be able to share those with you!).
I’m pretty busy between work and travel, and I haven’t figured out yet if I’ll have time to create new content for the blog while I’m here. We’ll see! Also, I won’t be able to organize any children’s book events meetings or teach any workshops until late fall. My next events will be:
Class: Writing & Illustrating Children's Books
– At City College of San Francisco (CA), October 22nd – November 19th.
KidQuake
– At the SFPL Main Library (San Francisco, CA), Oct 10th.
If you have any questions about working as an illustrator on the go, ask away, I’ll try to answer when I have a chance. Although please, take into account I’m not an expert… I’m learning as I go!
Ciao bambini!!
P.S: Am I awkward in front of a camera? You bet! However, I’m also happy to be who I am and to be where I am, and that deserves to be honored and celebrated. So please enjoy what my sister called “national guard of the garden” pose!
