¡Hola, caracola! How are you?
I’m looking out at the blooming hydrangeas and I feel hopeful and energized. I got my COVID vaccines a while back, so recently I was able to visit my homeland. I saw my family and friends for the first time in two years! Bringing my baby to Spain for the first time was very special.
Also, I’ve been working really hard on my next picture book. And to top it off, next week I’m speaking at a children’s book conference!
The SCBWI Biannual Oregon Conference is a fantastic event with keynote speaker Dan Yaccarino. I can’t wait to hear what he and so many talented authors, illustrators and writers have to say. I plan to talk about building blocks… Did I pique your curiosity? ;)
